Changes in the Plasma Level of Some Hydrolytic Enzymes during the Resorption of Strogen-induced Medullary Bone in Cocks

چکیده
The biochemical mechanisms by which bone is resorbed are not fully understood. It is generally assumed, however, that the mineral matter is removed under the influence of locally-produced acids and that the organic matter is solubilized by enzymic mechanisms. Acid hydrolases of lysosomal origin have been implicated in the process of bone resorption in organ culture (V AES , 19 65), and it was considered that a study of the activity of some lysosomal enzymes in plasma during the resorption of oestrogen-induced medullary bone might provide in vivo evidence for or against the participation of these enzymes in the process of bone resorption, on the

Background: Thyroid carcinoma is the most frequent malignant tumor of the endocrine system in human body and accounts for nearly 1% of all cancers. Medullary thyroid carcinoma is the third frequent of thyroid cancer and accounts about 5-8% of thyroid cancer. Osteocalcin, known as a Bone Gamma-carboxyglutamic Acid-containing Protein (BGLAP), is the most non collagenous protein. Retinol binding p...

Background: The trabecular bone changes in the tibia of C3H/HeN mice were measured 12 weeks after whole body irradiation with various doses of fast neutrons (0-2.4 Gy) or 137Cs-generated gamma-rays (0-6 Gy). Materials and Methods: Serum calcium, phosphorus, estradiol concentration and alkaline phosphatase activity were measured. Tibiae were anal...

Introduction:studies have shown that the increase of active oxygen species is associated with damage to bone cells and the role of exercise and vitamin D on bone health has been proven;the aim of this study was to investigate the interactive effects of aerobic exercise with vitamin D supplements on bone resorption markers in rats exposed to oxidative damage induced by H2O2. <br...
متن کاملReconstructionof Human Mandibular Continuity Defects with Allogenic Scaffold and Autologousmarrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells
Background Mandibular continuity defects occur after tumor resection, maxillofacial injury, or osteomyelitis. Despite the current availability of a plethora of treatment modalities, bone substitutes, and various clinical adjuncts, an exact reconstructive recapitulation of large bony defects continues to be beyond reach. In this clinical pilot study, we report a novel method for reconstruction ...

Background: One of the most significant factors in the success of dental implant procedures, can be mentioned by the quality and quantity of jaw bone. The occurrence of some problems such as trauma, infection, pathological lesions and the long-term absence of teeth in patients, it causes irregularities in the jaw bone and can get bone resorption. Sever defects after trauma or tumor resection ne...
